Happiest Baby
Snoo is the first robotic bassinet that soothes fussiness and extends sleep for babies—and parents.
Fuseproject’s collaboration with Dr. Harvey Karp on SNOO combined design innovation with a life-changing mission: to help exhausted parents and fussy babies get more sleep. Inspired by Dr. Karp’s renowned “5 S’s” soothing method—personally experienced by Fuseproject’s founder, Yves Béhar—the partnership set out to create a robotic version of this proven technique.
Fuseproject worked with Happiest Baby to develop every aspect of SNOO, from the product design to strategy, branding, app integration, and visual identity. The result is a smart bassinet that automatically soothes babies, offering an additional one to two hours of sleep per night for infants and parents. The design prioritizes warmth and familiarity, using a combination of wood, metal, and textiles to blend seamlessly into home environments, making SNOO feel more like a piece of furniture than a tech product.
SNOO addresses critical challenges such as postpartum depression, sleep deprivation, and marital stress. Clinical studies have demonstrated its effectiveness, showing it can reduce symptoms of postpartum depression more effectively than antidepressants. SNOO is also the first and only FDA-approved bassinet that helps prevent Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) by keeping babies safely on their backs during sleep.
Today, SNOO is a trusted tool in over 200 hospitals, including NICUs, where it supports medical staff and parents by promoting better sleep and infant care. SNOO exemplifies the power of thoughtful design and technology to transform lives, offering exhausted parents relief and redefining the early parenting experience.
