The Sayl Chair introduces ergonomic seating with a revolutionary frameless suspension system.

Fuseproject’s long-standing partnership with Herman Miller has consistently pushed the boundaries of design and functionality. When tasked with creating an affordable, ergonomic office chair that minimized material use and reduced its carbon footprint, we embraced the challenge to merge comfort, sustainability, and accessibility into one innovative solution.

The result was the Sayl Chair, the first of its kind to feature a frameless back. By replacing the traditional plastic frame with a suspension system, the chair dynamically adapted to users’ movements, providing enhanced comfort and support. This groundbreaking design reduced material use and parts, making the chair lighter, more environmentally friendly, and easier to produce.

With its sleek, modern aesthetic, the Sayl Chair was perfectly suited to contemporary office spaces. Its sustainable design earned the prestigious Cradle to Cradle Silver certification, while its ergonomic excellence made it an instant global success, rivaling Herman Miller’s iconic Aeron chair.

The Sayl Chair redefined office seating by combining cutting-edge design, sustainability, and affordability, setting a new standard for what an ergonomic and eco-conscious chair can achieve.
