PayPal is the original innovator in digital payments, but its original visual identity had been designed for the online world. The fuseproject brand and user experience team designed the new identity to boldly exist in a mobile-first world as well as real-world applications: with a more compact wordmark set in modified Futura, a new monogram of PayPal’s double Ps, more vibrant colors, and a dynamic angle graphic.
And now, in millions of web pages and physical locations, the new monogram has the 2 P’s come together with a translucent overlap, signifying how people connect with frictionless payment. PayPal’s original DNA and PayPal’s future have been combined in the new identity.
