A recent article explores the Telo MT1, a groundbreaking electric pickup designed by Telo Trucks in collaboration with Fuseproject. Unlike the oversized trucks that dominate the U.S. market, the MT1 redefines efficiency by delivering the utility of a full-size pickup within the compact footprint of a Mini Cooper.

To achieve this, Telo and Fuseproject focused on a human-centered approach, optimizing interior space by rethinking the H-point—the driver’s hip placement—which determines cabin volume. Innovative pedestal seating elevates the front seats, freeing up legroom for rear passengers while maintaining comfort and ergonomics. “It’s about designing the things people can’t see to deliver more comfort, more ergonomics, and more spaciousness,” explains Yves Behar, Fuseproject’s Chief Creative Officer and Telo co-founder.

Beyond space-saving innovations, the MT1 challenges the prevailing notion that bigger is better. By eliminating unnecessary bulk and maximizing efficiency, the MT1 provides a safer, more maneuverable, and more sustainable alternative to traditional trucks. As the automotive industry shifts toward electrification, Telo and Fuseproject are setting a new standard for what a pickup can be.
