We have designed an entirely new and more accessible August Smart Lock with many of our core features and functionalities. Utilizing premium materials, we have reduced the lock size into a narrow oval shape, fitting cleanly with traditional door hardware. The visible thumb latch will clearly show whether the lock is in an open or closed position. The new lock also comes standard with DoorSense™, the first time a lock will be able to confirm whether your door is fully closed and locked or left ajar, thanks to embedded sensors. If the door is not fully closed, the user will get a notification, which can also be seen in the August app. The August Smart Lock is the perfect way for consumers interested in smart home products to make their first step – adding a beautiful Smart Lock to their door at a more affordable price.

Our flagship Smart Lock was redesigned inside and out – making it the most advanced smart lock on the market. Now called August Smart Lock Pro, it comes equipped with Z-Wave Plus, HomeKit, and bundles with our August Connect Wi-Fi Bridge to lock and unlock from anywhere in the world. With the August Smart Lock Pro, there’s no need to replace the existing deadbolt or retrofit the door; our designs are a discreet add-on to the inside of the door only. Every element of the design was though with restraint and quality in mind: Made of aluminum with a discreet display visible only through laser etched micro perforations, a battery door hidden behind a magnetic cover, etched knurled textures to indicate where the hand manually turns the lock, CNC machined notch and logos that indicate the direction of the lock. It is right-sized for the hand, with a new geometric pattern for better tactility; its gearing system creates a mechanical advantage that makes locking and unlocking effortless. The new lock also comes standard with DoorSense™, the first time a lock will be able to confirm whether your door is fully closed and locked or left ajar, thanks to embedded sensors.
