SPRING to action

SPRING to action

Design and entrepreneurship can solve big problems, and at fuseproject we believe that’s equally true in the United States or abroad. That is why we were selected by Nike Foundation, UKAID, and USAID to be a partner in SPRING – a human-centered accelerator providing funding and technical expertise to entrepreneurs whose products, services and new business models could transform the lives of adolescent girls.

Each year for the next five years, SPRING will select 18 entrepreneurs to build their businesses in one of eight host countries in Africa and Asia. SPRING entrepreneurs will be provided with design expertise by fuseproject, and technical support from local and global partners. Working directly with the girls for whom their businesses will ultimately affect, these entrepreneurs will receive the mentorship, direct feedback, and funding needed to scale their businesses. Whether they are providing tangible products and services that enable girls to generate income, save and invest for their futures, or use their time more effectively, SPRING businesses have the potential to transform the lives of adolescent girls and ultimately help end the cycle of poverty.

The applications are pouring in at our www.springaccelerator.org website, where the first set of businesses will be chosen for Rwanda, Uganda and Kenya. Participate, support, advise, fund, cheer-on…there are many ways to SPRING to action!
